FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 10, 2019
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,667
Russell Westbrook (at SA – $12,100): Needs 51.8 fantasy points. Westbrook had 57 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 8. You typically know what you’re going to get from him. Numbers are rarely an issue and he can put up big numbers in any major offensive category. The Spurs are typically a tough match for him, but they are on a back-to-back. And the Thunder probably aren’t too pleased with their recent play. An angry Westbrook is a scary Westbrook. In many ways. Diagnosis: Typically reliable and a high ceiling.
De’Aaron Fox (vs DET – $8,600): Needs 36.8 fantasy points. Fox has looked more like himself in the last two games. He had 39.1 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 8. He should have another easy time on Thursday as the Pistons aren’t great and are on a back-to-back. I love Fox in this matchup and expect a big game from him. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
Kyrie Irving (at MIA – $8,400): Needs 36 fantasy points. Kyrie had just 17.4 fantasy points against the Pacers because he played only 24 minutes. His minutes should be up in this one as Miami typically keeps things competitive and even though they got rest, it’s still a back-to-back for the Celtics. As long as the minutes are there, the production will be there. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
