When does How To Get Away With Murder return with new episodes? While other primetime TV shows are making their comeback this week, ABC‘s cult hit drama isn’t one of them.

The network has opted to keep the Viola Davis-led series on the beach for a little while longer than most other returning series. Instead of coming back this week, the show will pick up next Thursday, Jan. 17 in its usual 10 p.m. time slot.

That means it will have been more than two months between new episodes—the midseason finale aired on Nov. 15, and the season will resume on Jan. 17!

Instead of Annalise Keating’s latest misdeeds, ABC is airing an ABC News special about the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky scandal called “Truth and Lies: Monica and Bill” this Thursday. The two-hour special starts at 9 p.m. and runs completely through How To Get Away With Murder‘s normal time slot.

But at least that’s in keeping with the theme, because when TV fans do get to pick up Annalise’s story, there will be plenty of scandal to deal with. The next How To Get Away With Murder season 5 episode is called “He Betrayed Us Both” and focuses on the killing that took place at Connor (Jack Falahee) and Oliver’s (Conrad Ricamora) wedding. Because, you know, murder is in the title.

Meanwhile, Annalise (Viola Davis) once again has to deal with her sordid past, which has also been somewhat of a theme on this show. So it’s business as usual—which means TV viewers will once again be on the edge of their seats!
