Tim Tebow stays winning

Tim Tebow is finally settling down and tying the knot — with a former Miss Universe.

Though Tim Tebow’s NFL career didn’t pan out quite like he hoped, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what it’s like to win.

Tebow is a former Heisman Trophy winner, a two-time NCAA national champion as the quarterback of the Florida Gators, and he even led the 2011 Denver Broncos to the NFL playoffs, including a victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Many years later, Tebow is now showing that he is winning in his personal life as well. He recently announced on Instagram that he is engaged to the 2017 Miss Universe, and South Africa native, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.

Tebow has never really been one to brag, but marrying a former Miss Universe certainly seems like something worth bragging about, right?

Anyone who has been a fan of Tebow over the years certainly knows that he’s been waiting a long time to settle down with that special someone. In 2017, he commented to People magazine that this was something he was very ready for.

“I don’t want to be single; I’m ready to settle down and start a family,” Tebow told People, according to ESPN.com. “I want to have kids. I have so many things I want. No one will be happier than me when I finally find the right person.”

And now, at age 31, that moment is finally here for Tebow, who is still pursuing a career in Major League Baseball. He’s currently playing in the minor leagues as part of the New York Mets organization, as he has been since 2016. Additionally, he serves as a college football analyst for ESPN.

Though Tebow might not be making as many headlines as an athlete as he did back in the day, this is a pretty exciting time for him to be able to move on and focus on the more important things in life.
