Cardiff face Huddersfield at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 12. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

At the beginning of the season, Cardiff and Huddersfield were two of the popular picks to be relegated. The two teams play in Cardiff on Saturday with major implications for the relegation battle. Cardiff are 17th in the table with 18 points, two points above the relegation drop. Huddersfield are last in the Premier League with 10 points.

Cardiff are not in the relegation zone because of the way they have played at home. In 11 home games, the Bluebirds have won four games and picked up 13 of their 18 points this season. Unlike Huddersfield who had to play a midweek FA Cup game, Cardiff did not play and will be well rested. The Bluebirds have not played since Jan. 1, which should work to their advantage. Neil Warnock’s side will continue to try creating chances for Callum Paterson, who leads the club with four goals this season.

If Huddersfield are going to avoid relegation for a second straight season, they need to beat Cardiff. A loss to Cardiff would drop the Terriers 11 points back of the Bluebirds and put them in an even deeper hole. David Wagner’s side have lost eight straight Premier League games. The Terriers have not won a game since beating Wolves on Nov. 25. The biggest problem for Huddersfield this season has been their inability to score goals. No team has scored fewer goals than Huddersfield, who have scored only 13 goals. Center-back Zenka leads the club with three goals.
