DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Jan. 12, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Marcus Morris (at ORL – $5,700): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Morris has been over 33 fantasy points in his last two games. He’s been solid as a starter and even with the weird energy around the Celtics, they get to play the Magic. Morris should get his scoring and rebounding numbers in this one while chipping in with defense. Diagnosis: Good ceiling although if you don’t trust the Celtics, I wouldn’t blame you.
Josh Jackson (vs DEN – $5,600): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Anytime Booker is out and Jackson starts, he typically delivers. He’s been over 30 fantasy points in his last three games. He’s more reliable than Warren because he’s not so reliant on his scoring as he does a bit of everything. There’s always a chance that he crashes and burns because that’s the kind of player he is. But keep taking him while he’s hot. Diagnosis: Hot and a good ceiling.
Kelly Oubre Jr (vs DEN – $4,400): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. Oubre Jr has turned in a couple of solid performances in his last two games. He’s getting big minutes right now and he can do a bit of everything, which always helps. He had a couple of good games against the Nuggets last season and managed 17.75 fantasy points in 13 minutes against them on Dec. 29. So if he gets 30-plus minutes in this one, I expect him to deliver a solid outing. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and a decent ceiling.
