Welcome back readers of FantasyCPR, we look at NFL DFS plays on DraftKings for the NFL Divisional Playoff round, these are my final thoughts for the week! Best of luck to you guys today.

DraftKings NFL Quarterbacks

Drew Brees, NO ($6,700)

I have had this debate with myself all week, but the decision has been made, this week I’m taking Drew Brees at home over the first playoff game of Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes sets up well against the Colts as he shreds zone coverage and the fact that the Colts play a base zone defense. However, we’ve seen Drew Brees torch this team for 33 DraftKings points in Week 11. The Eagles secondary is very attackable and I look for the Saints to capitalize on the mismatches in the secondary. Brees has not quite looked like the same quarterback over the last four weeks of the season throwing for 300-plus yards only one time and only four touchdowns. However, three of those games were played on the road. Drew Brees averages 27.5 DraftKings NFL Points at home this season. Brees is my guy this week.

Andrew Luck, IND ($6,200)

One of my pivots this week is Andrew Luck. The Chiefs have allowed the most first downs give up in NFL history which will allow Luck to keep moving the ball. It’s a four game slate, not just going to hit the lock button on one quarterback, especially as the total suggest that the Colts are going to expect a ton from Luck this week. However, I am slightly worried about the snow that is in the forecast along with the freezing temperatures, but Luck can definitely make the push to be the highest scoring quarterback this weekend.

DraftKings NFL Running Backs:

Ekekiel Elliott, DAL ($8,200)

Elliott is the highest price running back on the slate, and deserving so. The amount of work Elliott gets in the passing game along with the Rams allowing a crazy 5.1 yards per carry given up on the ground to running backs. Part of the reason I am fading Dak this week is because I expect the Cowboys to play ball control, and that is all going to run through Zeke. Elliott had  30 touches for 169 yards and a touchdown in the Wildcard Opening Round.

Todd Gurley II, LAR ($8,000)

Gurley price is depressed compared to whee it was and the Rams really limited him touches not allowing him to play in the final two weeks on the season. However, it appears that Gurley is healthy now as he does not carry an injury designation for this divisional round matchup. The Rams need Todd Gurley this week, expect him to be heavily involved in the running game and the passing game.

Alvin Kamara, NO ($7,300)

Very interesting pivot off the two top guys for me, the Saints love Kamara. Even with Ingram back, Kamara is still smashing each and every week. In the 16-games he played this year, he scored under 15-DraftKings points only two times. It’s crazy to think about and pass catching running backs shred the Eagles. Hey. Matt Nagy! Take some notes and watch Sean Payton design a scheme to get his pass catching running back the ball in space against this team. Kamara ha the ability to be the highest scoring running back on the slate this week. Excellent pair with Drew Brees.

James White, NE ($4,900)

Really saw the Patriots dial it back with James White late in the season. However, it’s the playoffs and you can not run on the Chargers. Josh McDaniels is going to have to be creative with a limited amount of pass catchers against a tough secondary. The Chargers one weakness is shifty pass catching backs and that’s what James White is. It really is not fun trying to get in the mind of what the Patriots are going to do this week, but at $4,900 I do not believe that this play can burn us. I love James White this week and I expect him to be heavily involved in the passing game this week. Potential 10-catch game incoming.

DraftKings NFL Wide Receivers

Michael Thomas, NO ($7,900)

I’m likely not going to get here much this week but it’s really because we have a salary cap and it’s tough to get there. However, the main reason I am not going to pay up for Thomas is because the Eagles in the last matchup rolled coverage at him, making the Saints use their other weapons to beat them. Even if they do that though, Thomas catch 4 passes in their last matchup for 92 yards and a touchdown. The upside is there for a big play, even if he is doubled teamed.

More from FanSided

T.Y. Hilton, IND ($6,700)

It’s really tough to get up there to him as well, however, he is absolutely my favorite receiver of the week. Hilton even at Arrow Head can smash this Chiefs defense. Last week Hilton played a decent game against the Texans but game script got out of hand. That is not going to be the case this week, as I expect this game to be highly competitive throughout and T.Y. Hilton will be at the heart of the Colts offense.

Robert Woods ($5,900)/ Brandon Cooks ($5,600)

Woods for cash, Cooks for tournaments and I am playing tournaments this week so it’s all about Brandon Cooks for me. It looked like to me late in the season that the Rams really wanted to get Cooks going for this exact scenario. The pace of the game kind of worries but one of these guys should have a big game, if I am picking it’s Cooks for me but because of the coin toss neither are probably making my main lineup this week.

Alshon Jeffery, PHI ($5,800)

Since Nick Foles has taken over, Jeffery has double-digit fantasy points in each of the last four games. I like Alshon this week as the game script sets up really well for him this week. Jeffery hasn’t had a big game since the Rams in Week 15, but he could do it this week as Foles is airing it out trying to keep up with this Saints offense. Foles/ Jeffery going to likely be low owned stack that could find us at the top of the leaderboards.

Low-Tier punts to consider: Tedd Ginn, NO ($4,400), Nelson Agholor ($4,300), Chris Hogan ($3,900), Keith Kirkwood ($3,300), Tavon Austin ($3,000) -if Cole Beasley is out.

DraftKings NFL Tight Ends

Travis Kelce, KC ($7,000)

This is the easiest play for me all week, plugging in Kelce and figurine the rest out. The Colts allow the most receiving yards to opposing tight ends and Kelce is one of the best tight ends in the NFL. The Colts zone defense softens up in the middle of the field, which will lead to Kelce carving up this defense.

Eric Ebron, IND ($5,500)

Do not mind playing both tight ends in this game, as the Colts rely on Ebron in the red zone very heavily. The Chiefs actually rank dead last in total fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Both teams will be attacking the middle of the field against each other, playing both of them with help you differentiate your lineups.

Defense

Saints ($3,300), Rams ($3,000), Cowboys ($2,200), Colts ($2,100)
