The Duke Blue Devils take their top ranking in the country on the road against a tough ACC foe in the 13th-ranked Florida State Seminoles on Saturday.
Though they did lose at the Maui Invitational, the Duke Blue Devils have consistently been the most jaw-dropping team in college basketball this season. With Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, this team is a juggernaut that few teams are able to contend with. Yet, Mike Krzyzewski’s team faces their toughest ACC test yet as they take on the Florida State Seminoles.
Traditionally, the Blue Devils have had some issues with the Seminoles, especially when playing in Tallahassee. Having said that, few Duke teams have looked quite like this one. Not only are Williamson and Barrett legit superstars, but they’re supplemented by the likes of Cam Reddish and Tre Jones to give them a hugely fearsome group.
Having said that, Florida State is no joke. The No. 13 team in the country is as athletic as they’ve ever been this season and have some big wins, even if they were handled decisively by Virginia to start ACC play.

Even still, Terance Mann, M.J. Walker and Mfiondu Kabengele comprise a talented core that, on their home floor, could potentially push this Duke team a bit. And with the Blue Devils’ lack of true road games this season, we could see the top team in the country tested on Saturday.

Despite not being unbeaten (as two Power 5 teams are), Duke continues to occupy the top spot in the college basketball rankings. Then again, if they can go on the road for just their second true road game of the season on Saturday and topple a good Florida State team, that ranking is only going to look more and more deserved.
