It’s been forever since Saturday Night Live hasn’t aired a rerun, so when exactly can we expect some new episodes so deep in January 2019?

Whenever Saturday Night Live airs on television with a brand new episode next will be the best episode of 2019. That’s because the show has been on a long, long hiatus over the winter holidays, as the cast and crew headed home to spend their time with families (or filming their bit parts in upcoming comedy movies).

Whatever the case may be, we shouldn’t be that far off from seeing SNL grace our televisions once again with brand new episodes. We will get back to our regularly scheduled programming soon, as Saturday Night Live will return with brand new episodes starting Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, according to the SNL Twitter account. The first host coming to the show is Rachel Brosnahan, with the musical guest being Greta Van Fleet.

New year, new first-time guests of 30 Rock, as both Rachel and the band have never hosted or performed on Saturday Night Live before. Of course, both are picking up steam right now, with Rachel coming hot off of her second Golden Globe for portraying the titular character of
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She’s also won an Emmy for her performance, too, while also playing a compelling character in the first three seasons of House of Cards.

Led Zepplin fans and rock band Greta Van Fleet consists of the Kiszka family and their drummer friend as they try to bring back your dad’s kind of rock ‘n’ roll back to the mainstream. They’re up for four Grammy awards this February, including Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album.

It’s been so long since we’ve had Saturday Night Live actually live on our televisions, and it looks like we have the potential for a good episode on our hands. Hopefully, production will run a tighter ship in the new year, as things have been rather inconsistent in season 44.
