Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on Jan. 13. Here’s all the info you need to watch the match.

Spurs have cemented themselves in third-place, 6 points behind leaders Liverpool and 1 point behind second-placed Manchester City. After a topsy-turvy start to the season, with much press about the lack of signings and the future of many key players as well as manager Mauricio Pochettino, it seems Tottenham have outdone themselves yet again.

Credit needs to be given where credit is due — to the players and manager, however, maybe it’s the lack of real confidence in Tottenham amongst the media that really should be addressed. This is a team that have finished in the top-four consistently over the last few years. They fought their way against the odds to make it to the knockouts of the Champions League this year, and have shown their ‘big 6’ credentials already by thrashing Chelsea and Man United this season.

Tottenham are improving year on year, and now need only wait a few short months before their journey to stabilizing themselves amongst the elite begins. Wembley has been a kind home to Tottenham, but the new White Hart Lane promises to be a magical place. They also have a young squad that is approaching their peak, and a manager who time and again reiterates his desire to make a legacy with Tottenham. Why does it seem, that no matter what Tottenham do, people continue to underrate them?

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be telling his players the exact same thing. His arrival at the helm of his former club has led to an instant impact among the players. The attackers are playing with a confidence and freedom that was extinct during Jose Mourinho’s dour tenure, and the results have matched the enthusiasm. 5 wins on the bounce, including the FA cup victory, and should Manchester United continue their fine form with a win vs. Tottenham, Solsjkaer will overtake Sir Matt Busby’s record and become the manager with the most successful start.

The reverse fixture — a 0-3 to Tottenham at Old Trafford — was proof really that Tottenham are a top team, and in many ways, it was a shifting of the guard between the two clubs. United languishing in midtable, Tottenham riding high. On the 13th however, United will be out for blood. The happiness and freedom Solsjkaer has instilled, combined with his surprisingly good tactical nous has helped United’s quality players rediscover their fire. They will face a mature and gritty Tottenham side, littered with quality themselves.

This fixture is undoubtedly the tie of the weekend, and could very well be one of the matches of the season.
