President Trump serves Clemson Wendys, McDonald’s, Burger King

In light of the government shutdown, President Donald Trump serves Clemson  Wendys, McDonald’s and Burger King at the White House.

Filet mignon, smoked salmon potato cakes with herbed crème fraîche, lobster rolls on a bed of the world’s finest china…. these are all things that one might think would be served at a White House dinner. Apparently, that’s not the case if President Donald Trump is footing the bill.

According to CNN, the President shelled out his own money (and all those leftover McDonald’s gift cards from Christmas) for a lavish fast food dinner when the White House hosted Clemson during their national championship celebration on Monday.

“McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Burger King’s with some pizza,” Trump told reporters about the dinner. “I think that would be their favorite food, so we’ll see what happens.”

The food was displayed across a grand table complete with skyscraping candles making it a romantic, and budget-friendly, dinner. We were told Mayor McCheese declined his invitation and that the Hamburglar wasn’t cleared by Secret Service.

Of course, we can’t forget that the reason the players are forced to eat something they can eat pretty much anytime they want, is because the government is currently at a standstill over border negotiations. Don’t worry, we don’t think Taco Bell has anything to do with it.

“We have some very large people that like eating. So I think we’re going to have a little fun,” he said.

Dipping sauces were served in silver goblets and Wendy’s face was plastered all over cookies served on silver settings that very well may have served John F. Kennedy his dinners. But whatever, the United States pulls out all the stops for our honored guests!

I wonder if they called UberEats to deliver or if they just filled that limo with the little American flags and rolled through the drive-thru?
