NHL DFS Man Advantage Tuesday January 15th
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for the big 10 game slate for Tuesday night January 15th! Tonight like I mentioned we have a nice sized 10 game slate for our DFS pleasure. We get another night with some the most talent-laden teams in the NHL on the slate tonight. We get Washington, Winnipeg, Tampa By, Pittsburgh, and the suddenly streaking San Jose Sharks
As far as goaltenders go tonight we have some of the best that are very low-priced because of perceived poor NHL DFS matchups, but some of them might actually be set up for success.
NHL DFS Goalies:
My top goalie tonight is Antti Niemi ($7,800), yes you read that right. Niemi is not my typical choice for a top play but he has been playing well of late winning 3 of his last 4 start and has only allowed 7 goals in his three wins, but did give up 6 in the one loss. His opponent, the Florida Panthers, have lost 6 straight and has only scored 14 goals in those 6 losses giving Niemi a pretty good matchup for tonight.
Another top choice is Robin Lehner ($8,100) in a home matchup with the St. Louis Blues on a second night of a back to back.
My top 3 underpriced goalies tonight:
1- Matt Murray ($7,700)
2- Marc-Andre Fleury ($7,400)
3- Braden Holtby ($7,700)
Lastly, I am also slightly interested in Jimmy Howard ($7,800) for tonight in a home game against the Ducks and their 11 game losing streak.
NHL DFS Top Individual Players
High Tier:
Sidney Crosby ($8,000) – Crosby has had success against the Sharks in the regular season of late with 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 3 regular season games. In his last 10 games Crosby has 4 goals and 13 assists with 30 SOG and 7 BS ( 1/3 of his season total) as well as averaging 5.8 FPPG
Blake Wheeler ($7,400) – Winnipegs captain has turned it on of late, as has linemates Mark Scheifele and Kyle Conner. Wheeler has 3 goals and 5 assists in his last 5 games, Winnipeg has won 4 of those 5 games, and he is also averaging over 6 FPPG

Sebastian Aho ($6,700) – Aho has been a goal scoring machine in his last 2 games with 5 goals total in the two games combined. Aho takes on a Ranger team that just surrendered 7 goals to Columbus in their last game on Sunday and Aho has scored 3 goals and a 3 assists in 9 career games against the Rangers. Aho centers the Canes top line with Teuvo Terravainen and Micheal Ferland.
Mid Tier:
Anders Lee ($6,400) – Everyone seems to be focusing on the Islanders second line with how well Mathew Barzal has been playing, and rightfully so, but Lee and his line are also playing well. New York’s captain has 4 goals and 5 assists in his last 10 games and with Brock Nelson and Jordan Eberle they make up a quality inexpensive stack.
John Klingberg ($5,800) – Klingberg has 1 goal and 4 assists in his last games and has been playing over 25 minutes per game for Dallas. Tampa is obviously the best team in the league but they are susceptible to some poor D play and goaltending as seen by them allowing 5 goals on Sunday.
Blake Coleman ($5,200) – Coleman added 2 goals on Monday night leaving him with 4 goals and an assist in the Devils last 5 games. Coleman plays on the Devils second line alongside Miles Wood and Travis Zajac making this another inexpensive stack
Value Tier:
Ondrej Palat ($4,500) – Palat seems to be the forgotten piece on the Tampa Bay PP but he shouldn’t be. On a unit with the likes of Stamkos and Kucherov, Palat seems to be the odd man out from a DFS perspective. In his last game Palat has 6 fantasy points with only 1 assist ( 2pts), Palat added 7 SOG and a BS to get his total up. Over his last 3 games Palat has 2 goals and an assist as well as averaging over 5 FPPG.
Jesper Fast ($4,100) – Fast has 2 goals and an assist in his last 4 games and is averaging 3 FPPG in that span. Fast plays on the Rangers second line with Ryan Strome and Filip Chytil.
Ryan Murray ($3,600) – I feel like Murray is underpriced as well with his ability to put up points. Murray has 5 assists in the last 6 games and is averaging 4 FPPG as well.
