The Virginia Cavaliers put their unbeaten record on the line in a rival ACC matchup against the top-10 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday night.

Despite the fact that they’re the fourth-ranked team in the country, the Virginia Cavaliers aren’t getting a ton of respect. They are one of just a handful of undefeated teams left in college basketball and have been impressive from the start. Now they’ll face a huge ACC test on Tuesday as they welcome the rival Virginia Tech Hokies to John Paul Jones Arena.

This might be the best Cavaliers team that we’ve ever seen under Tony Bennett. They can strike from all over and have way more offensive prowess than many of their predecessors. From Ty Jerome to DeAndre Hunter to Kyle Guy, this team can strike from all over while also maintaining their trademark lockdown defense.

Virginia Tech, however, is no slouch at all. The Hokies have just one loss on the season, an upset at the hands of Penn State earlier in the year. The trio of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Kerry Blackshear Jr. and Justin Robinson are the leaders of this team and will keep them competitive against their rivals.

This top-10 matchup should be one of the best ACC matchups we’ll see this season that not enough people are talking about. As such, keep your eyes on Virginia vs. Virginia Tech.

When it comes to this Cavaliers team, they’ve been near flawless for much of the year. Having said that, Virginia Tech is no joke in the slightest. As such, they’ll need to protect their home floor in a rivalry game if they want to keep their perfect record intact moving further into ACC play.
