Fans of author Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy have been waiting for the UK series to make its debut in the States and the day has finally arrived. A Discovery of Witches, the eight-episode adaptation of the first book of the All Souls Trilogy, premieres on January 17 and there are two ways you can watch.

There are two ways to watch A Discovery of Witches and both involve signing up for streaming services. The show will air its full season on both Shudder and Sundance NOW, which means fans will have to subscribe to one of the services and stream the show. You can access Shudder and Sundance NOW on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, XBOX One, Apple TV, iPhone and Android.

Shudder has two membership options available, a yearly option for $3.99/month and a monthly option for $4.99/month. There’s also a free 7-day trial available, but be advised that you have to sign up for the free trial under one of the options and your credit card will be billed after the trial is up. Shudder is a horror-only streaming site, so horror fans will appreciate the library.

Sundance NOW also has a 7-day free trial and monthly and yearly subscription plans available. The monthly plan is $6.99/month or $4.99/month if you choose the yearly option. A Discovery of Witches stars Teresa Palmer as Diana Bishop and Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont. In a world where humans are oblivious to the daemons, vampires and witches that have lived among them since the beginning of time, Diana, a witch, uncovers a book that might reveal the secrets to how creatures came to be.

Matthew, a vampire, has been studying the decline of magical creatures and he suspects that Ashmole 782 might reveal the secrets to preventing an extinction. Unfortunately, once word gets out that the book exists, it’s a race against time to find the answers as vampires, witches and daemons work to claim the book for themselves.

A Discovery of Witches season 1 covers the events of the first book in the All Souls Trilogy, and seasons 2 and 3 have already been announced from Bad Wolf and Sky Productions.
