The Kentucky Wildcats and Auburn Tigers are both aiming to make head way in the SEC as they clash in a top-15 matchup on Saturday.
Both the Kentucky Wildcats and Auburn Tigers entered the season with immense expectations for what they could do on a national level. While both teams are still ranked in the top 15 of the latest poll, they have have also each been inconsistent and disappointing at times. Now they look to make head way in the SEC as they meet up on Saturday in a big college basketball matchup.
Bruce Pearl’s Auburn team has a great deal of talent, led by guards Bryce Brown and Justin Harper. This is a team that both loves the three ball and can shoot it with great efficiency. Moreover, they can be a lockdown defensive team at times, which they need to turn on at home with a matchup against the Wildcats.
With Kentucky, you never know which team you’re going to get from John Calipari’s group. This team has an immense amount of talent with the likes of Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson, Reid Travis and P.J. Washington. However, they have seemed out of sorts far too often at times. Having said that, we’ve seen Cal’s teams turn it around this time of year, and this would be a game to do it.

There’s no doubt that each team can be competitive at the top of the SEC, but this would be a huge January win for both the Wildcats and Tigers as they try to assert themselves in the conference.

Kentucky has looked better in recent games since getting knocked off by Bama. Having said that, the Tigers are their toughest test yet in the SEC, but the same can be said for them in regards to playing the Wildcats. We’ll learn a lot about these two teams after this game as they both chase Tennessee in the conference.
