The No. 3 Tennessee Volunteers are used to throttling their foes as they’ve done it all season. Now, the Vols welcome the Alabama Crimson Tide to Knoxville with hopes of getting a huge rivalry win.

The 3rd ranked Tennessee Volunteers routinely crush their opponents this year. It’s nothing for the Vols to defeat a team by 20 to 30 points on any given night. They have to be hoping that they can do the same to their rival, the Alabama Crimson Tide, this weekend.

Alabama was pretty good a season ago but the Crimson Tide hasn’t quite played up to that level this season. With this game happening away from Tuscaloosa, things will be pretty difficult for Avery Johnson and Alabama to knock off Tennessee.

The Vols average 87.1 points per game and keep their foes at just 66.5 points per game. This Tennessee team has dominated just about every single opponent that it has had the pleasure of meeting this season.

Alabama hasn’t really shown the potential to match Tennessee’s level of play so far this year. The Crimson Tide barely outscore their foes as Alabama averages 76.5 points per game and Alabama’s opponents average 72.5 points per game.

There’s a pretty big difference between these two teams.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is simply going to have a hard time keeping up with the Tennessee Volunteers. This season, the Vols are boasting one of the best teams in all of college basketball and Rick Barnes is doing an incredible job coaching.

If Alabama is going to win this game, it’ll have to be caused by some level of miracle that is hard to predict right now. Tennessee should win and the Vols will probably win big, just as they have throughout the entire season.
