Shaka Smart’s Texas Longhorns and Lon Kruger’s Oklahoma Sooners are ready to get their rivalry game underway.

As the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners come into this game, both teams hold identical 2-3 Big 12 records. The Longhorns and the Sooners have both had issues in conference play and are both looking for opportunities to get some positive momentum moving in their direction at the moment.

But the Longhorns will come into this game on a three-game losing streak. The Sooners, on the other hand, aren’t on such a rough streak, but they did lose to the Kansas State Wildcats by 13 points.

So, it’s fair to say that neither of these teams is exactly where they want to be. However, a win in a rivalry game would be a significant confidence booster for the rest of the season.

As Oklahoma takes to the road in this game, the Sooners will turn to senior guard Christian James as they hope to get a huge win. James is a well-rounded player, scoring 17 points and getting 7.6 rebounds per game.

The Texas Longhorns have a senior guard of their own who they hope can have a great performance in this rivalry game. Kerwin Roach Jr. scores 13.5 points, grabs 4.8 rebounds, and dishes out 3.6 assists. He’ll give the Longhorns their best shot at beating OU here.
