Edge. Ohio State. Nick Bosa. 2. player. 42.

The San Francisco 49ers had some high expectations heading into the 2018 NFL season, as they finally had themselves a franchise quarterback. Unfortunately, Jimmy Garoppolo blew out his knee early in the season, and the team would end up finishing with a 4-12 mark, earning a top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Looking at the 49ers roster, they are in desperate need of a pass rusher and could get one at No. 2 if Nick Bosa falls to them. In fact, there are a ton of good players at the position group in this draft class, so it is a perfect year for the 49ers to address one of the bigger needs on their team moving forward.

Bosa was an absolute standout during his time at Ohio State, a career which ended early due to an injury, and him wanting to focus on the NFL Draft and not return to the team. His brother, Joey, is an elite edge rusher for the Los Angeles Chargers, and Nick can be just as good as him at the NFL level.

General manager John Lynch was a phenomenal defensive player, so it would make sense that he would continue to try to address that side of the ball. This team should be much-improved next season, as Garoppolo will be back, and running back Jerick McKinnon should be healed from a knee injury of his own.
