The New Orleans Saints made a tremendous run through the regular season in 2018 and looked to be on pace to send Drew Brees back to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the Saints ended up seeing their season close out in front of the home fans in the NFC Championship Game, as a controversial no-call proved to play a huge role in the outcome.
Brees has already committed to coming back in 2019, and the Saints should be a team to contend with once again next season. Another team that should be a contender is the team that currently holds the Saints first round pick in 2019, and that team is the Green Bay Packers, who have two first rounders.
With their first of two first rounders, we liked Packers to improve their pass rush, adding Rashan Gary from Michigan. At the end of the first round, Green Bay may want to add an elite wide receiver talent, and D.K. Metcalf from Ole Miss is certainly someone who is slated to go in the first round in April.
Green Bay has a new head coach, one who was recently the offensive coordinator in Tennessee. Matt LaFleur will be tasked with turning this team around, and he has the quarterback to do just that in Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay needs weapons, and you can be sure Rodgers would love to see them add a player like Metcalf this offseason.
