2019 NFL mock draft: Jaguars get Kyler Murray
By Brad Weiss
The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the better surprises of the 2017 NFL season, as they utilized an incredible defense to advance all the way to the AFC Championship Game. In fact, the Jaguars had a ten-point lead on the New England Patriots heading into the fourth quarter and appeared on the verge of making it to the Super Bowl.
Well, Tom Brady and company ended that dream, and in 2018, the Jaguars took a major step backward. The Jaguars were one of the more inconsistent teams in football, and the quarterback position was a mess, as the team benched Blake Bortles in favor of Cody Kessler during the season.
Bortles is obviously not the answer at quarterback for this franchise, and you can be sure the team is going to make a move to bring in a new franchise guy in 2019. One player to keep a serious eye on is Kyler Murray because if he measures well at the combine, and has a good workout, he could make himself a top-10 draft pick.
Murray does not have the size you look for in an NFL quarterback, but he certainly has the skill set to be a legitimate franchise guy at the next level. He has tremendous arm strength, incredible athleticism, and has the leadership qualities that any general manager would love to have as the leader of their team.
