DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks January 24
We are back to another balanced one round week for our DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments this week. We have a lot of high prices on this slate, but there is some decent value to put a couple of them in your lineups. Which ones should we aim for?

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

Guards:
Mike James is easily the top option, and it really isn’t close. James put up 35.5 DraftKings points on Zalgiris in the first meeting while playing the entire game. James is averaging the most minutes per game in the EuroLeague, so pay the high price. He is one of the few that is worth the price, and this is production that really can’t be made up anywhere else.
Nick Calathes is the only pivot off of James among guards, and he isn’t much of one. James has broken 35 DraftKings points in all but two games this year. Calathes has only hit that mark four times in 19 rounds. I’m more comfortable dropping down to Kostas Sloukas against Olympiacos.
I hate the matchups for most of the middle tier. Nate Wolters is intriguing if he can play. Wolters traveled with the team to Milan, but is still questionable with a sore ankle. If Wolters is out, Marius Grigonis becomes a priority. I don’t like the matchup for Scottie Wilbekin, but with Deandre Kane out, Wilbekin should get more chances.
Yovel Zoosman is a strong play with Nemanja Nedovic still out. I am kind of nervous about Jeremy Pargo though. He is set to make his EuroLeague debut today, but there has been no official word on his minutes.
Derrick Walton and Curtis Jerrells are really hard to rely on, but both play for teams that have injuries in the backcourt and both have great matchups today. I’m not looking anywhere lower for value besides maybe Sean Kilpatrick. He had a solid debut in 24 minutes, and is a good pivot off of all the value chasers in the Zalgiris and Milan backcourts.
Forwards:
Jan Vesely is starting to live up to that price tag. He has not been under 22 DraftKings points in the last ten games and has six of those over 30. This is a good matchup against Olympiacos. If you can fit Vesely with James, that’s a good place to start today. If you want to try the other side of this Nikola Milutinov has been putting up strong numbers no matter the matchup. His ceiling isn’t as high as Vesely in this game, but the floor is about the same and Milutinov is $800 less.

Brandon Davies provides us another top option at forward. His offense has ticked up with the injuries to the backcourt, and Milan is still one of the weakest fronts in the EuroLeague. You could also use Moerman since he has been matchup proof lately, but I don’t like playing anyone against the Real Madrid front with all the bodies they have to throw at you.
I want to go after the Efes front, but with who? Gustavo Ayon is the easy pick, but after that it gets murky. Rudy Fernandez is the tempting one, but Walter Tavares is probably the lowest risk.
Ioannis Papapetrou continues to flourish under Rick Pitino, but today is a tough matchup. I would much rather go with Tarik Black or Aaron White in this price range.
Jeff Brooks and Mindaugas Kuzminskas worth a look in the value tier with Kaleb Tarczewski still out, but don’t expect much. They aren’t going to go above 20 DraftKings points, but they haven’t been in single digits within the last eight rounds either. You can say the same for Edgaras Ulanovas if you don’t want to guess with the Milan value. However, Paulius Jankunas has outplayed Ulanovas lately, but he has a much lower floor.
