We found out on Tuesday night that Luka Doncic can tear a jersey with the best of them.

There is no denying that rookie Luka Doncic has taken the NBA by storm during his first season with the Dallas Mavericks. The third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, coming over from Europe, has Mavericks fans ecstatic that he will soon return them to glory.

However, if Doncic ever decides that he wants to take a break from basketball, he should consider giving Vince McMahon a call. The WWE might just have a spot for him.

During Tuesday night’s game at home against the Los Angeles Clippers, Doncic channeled his inner Hulk Hogan just before halftime. He threw up a shot at the buzzer that was well off the mark, concluding a 4-of-12 shooting performance in the first half, and he vented his frustration by ripping his jersey Hogan-style.

The frustration has clearly been building up for Doncic over Dallas’ last few games. In their last two games, Doncic has gone just 6-of-17 (at Milwaukee) and 3-of-14 (at Indiana) from the field. Additionally, before Tuesday, the Mavericks had been riding a four-game losing streak that they finally snapped against the Clippers, winning 106-98.

Nevertheless, Dallas still finds itself well outside of the Western Conference playoff picture at just 21-26.

It’s been a difficult stretch for the 19-year-old from Slovenia, and if he ever did decide to take his shirt-ripping talents to the WWE, he would probably be welcomed with open arms. Luckily, he shouldn’t ever have to do that, as he is on a trajectory to superstardom in the NBA at the rate he’s going, currently averaging nearly 20 points per game.

A playoff appearance might not be in the cards for Doncic and the Mavs this year, though there is still plenty of season left to change that. But regardless, it won’t be long before he returns a winning tradition to this franchise.

Next. Whiteboard: Building the perfect Conley/Gasol trade. dark

Doncic just has to shake off this shooting slump, and perhaps ripping a few more shirts to get all the frustration out might do the trick.
