College football’s premier all star game will take place in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday January 26. Here is a look at the players that will be on the field.

With the NFL season coming to a close, fans of the franchises not remaining in the playoffs turn their attention to the 2019 NFL Draft. First order of business in the pre-draft process is the Reese’s Senior Bowl. This all-star game has been run since the 1950’s and is a tradition many around the NFL have come to enjoy. It is a collection of college football’s best senior talent, with the rare junior eligible who has already graduated.

Media flocks in droves to Mobile to partake in all the practice sessions and the eventual game. With former NFL scout Jim Nagy taking the reigns in June 2018, the game may be as deep in talent then ever.

Teams are coached by the coaching staffs that had the NFL’s worst records but did not change the majority of their coaching staff. That eliminated the top-pick Arizona Cardinals after signing Kliff Kingsbury and the third-pick Jets after grabbing Adam Gase to be their respective head coaches.

That left San Francisco’s Kyle Shanahan and Oakland’s Jon Gruden as the choices to coach the team. Both staffs get an advantage of seeing and working with these players up close. For Gruden it is particularly important considering the draft capital Oakland is working with, including three first round picks.

Last year’s crop of players included first overall pick Baker Mayfield, who made headlines throughout his time in Mobile. Other notable players that played were fellow first round picks Josh Allen, Marcus Davenport, and Rashaad Penny.

Time to take a look at the invites for each position, starting with the signal callers.
