High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Kyrie Irving (vs GS – $10,500): Needs 45.2 fantasy points. Kyrie has been over 59 fantasy points in three of his last four games. And this is a game where I have no doubt about him. The Celtics will need to raise their level if they want to match the Warriors. And we know Kyrie can raise his level. I fully expect him to deliver in this game. I don’t know about the rest of the players on Boston but I know about Kyrie. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Ben Simmons (at DEN – $10,100): Needs 43.4 fantasy points. Simmons will be without Butler and Embiid in this one. Which means he will have to do a lot of the heavy lifting. He can do it, but he also will see a lot of attention from the Nuggets, which could limit him without two of the better players in the league. The ceiling is high but so is the bust potential as Simmons doesn’t have a reliable scoring outlet. Diagnosis: A risk but a high reward if he steps up.

Steph Curry (at BOS – $9,800): Needs 42.1 fantasy points. You typically know what you’re getting from Curry. He’s going to get you value if nothing else and his ceiling is much high if he’s able to get hot from the field. And Curry can always get hot from the field. It’s a tough matchup but this is why he’s one of the best players in the world. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
