In what is arguably the biggest game of the week, the Kansas Jayhawks and the Kentucky Wildcats are set to square off in Rupp Arena.

It really doesn’t get any bigger than this for regular season college basketball match-ups. The Kentucky Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks are absolute powerhouses and two of the greatest college basketball programs in the country. These two are definitely amongst the college blue bloods that set the standard for success in men’s basketball.

And now we get to see them play each other in a regular season game. This is great for just about everyone involved. There’s no real losers here, outside of the team that loses, of course.

And even though Kansas fans aren’t going to like this, there’s definitely a strong possibility that their team will be the one that comes out as the loser in this game. That has nothing to do with the team itself and everything to do with the fact that KU’s three losses have come on the road and UK is undefeated at home.

Arizona State, Iowa State, and West Virginia have all been able to best the Jayhawks when they take to the road. Kentucky is currently a perfect 11-0 in games in Rupp Arena this season. Unless Kansas suddenly improves at playing away from Lawrence, it seems unlikely that the Wildcats would lose in Lexington.

How to watch the Kansas Jayhawks vs. the Kentucky Wildcats:

  • Date: Saturday, Jan. 26
  • Start Time: 6 p.m. ET
  • Location: Lexington, KY
  • Arena: Rupp Arena
  • TV Info: ESPN
  • Live Stream: WatchESPN

It really doesn’t seem all that likely that the Kentucky Wildcats would lose this game. The Kansas Jayhawks haven’t been great on the road up to this point in the season and Kentucky has been perfect at home.

But, if there was ever a chance for Kansas to end that trend, it would be this game. The Jayhawks get the Wildcats on a national stage. This is a great opportunity for KU to get some exposure as it tries to take down UK.
