DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 27, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Rudy Gay (vs WAS – $5,700): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. With DeRozan out of the lineup, Gay becomes the top perimeter scorer for the Spurs. It’s a load he can handle and he’ll chip in with rebounds. The Spurs are on a back-to-back but I’m not too concern because they are at home and it’s the Wizards. Washington can be scrappy but that just means this game will be close. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if DeRozan is sidelined once again.
Josh Jackson (at LAL – $5,500): Needs 24.7 fantasy points. Jackson had 29.25 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Jan. 25. He’s flashed a high ceiling when he’s gotten the minutes and he should continue to get the minutes in the starting lineup with Warren out. This will be the best matchup he’s faced as the Blazers and Nuggets in his two starts and those are no easy tasks. I’ll trust him in this matchup because I don’t trust the Lakers for anything right now. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Marco Belinelli (vs WAS – $4,300): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. I like Belinelli as a value play because the Spurs will need his shooting coming off the bench with DeRozan out. He’s the most reliable guy in terms of getting shots for the Spurs and with the Wizards lack of depth, he can really take advantage of them. Small forward is a bit of a mixed bag and if you’re looking for someone slightly more reliable, albeit at a higher salary, look towards PJ Tucker. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling. You can also look at Tucker in the spot.
