Welcome back FantasyCPR readers, if you are playing this Pro Bowl slate, you likely have a problem I have been told, however, this slate is actually going to be a lot of fun. A lot of people will play this just because they are going to be watching the game and they will likely not be in twined to how the Pro Bowl works and ignore the simple rule changes. Lets cover the rule changes, from a typical NFL game and how we can capitalize on that in the Pro Bowl.

First important rule change, is that defenses have to play base 4-3 defenses, with no ability to play nickel or dime sub-packages. Also defenses are only allowed to play cover-2 or press man-to-man coverage. This rule will help tight ends out, which pairing them with the worst coverage safety or the slower linebacker. Defenses are not allowed to blitz.

Second important rule change, is that one tight end must be on the field at all times in the game. There are only two tight ends per team, meaning both of these guys are going to get pretty significant run in the game barring injury.

The Pro Bowl is a passing game, teams in the past two years have attempted an average of 40.5 pass attempts per game. Love to attack the pass catchers.

Pro Bowl Core Plays

The Pro Bowl is a single game showdown slate, meaning that we have to chose a captain and then fill out the rest of our roster. I am looking at one of the four tight ends to work in at the captain position.

George Kittle, NFC ($5,600)

Kittle is my favorite play on the entire slate. This is Kittle’s first time at the Pro Bowl and he is going to want to show out. Kittle will start and will get a chance to catch passes from Russell Wilson. I love Kittle’s upside v the cover 2 defense. My general concern with Kittle is that he is going to be popular, but on this slate, when I play him at 100% and 75% in my captain spot, I will be massively overweight on the field.

Tyreek Hill, AFC ($9,400) / JuJu Smith- Schuster, AFC ($9,200)

I’m splitting hairs on this spot, I am likely going to have a good amount of exposure to both Hill and JuJu Smith-Schuster. If you ask me to choose, the fact that Patrick Mahomes will be on the field, I expect him to take some shots deep to Hill and they have the chemistry to connect. However, I would not be surprised if JuJu outplayed Hill either at lower ownership. Do not mind pairing these guys.

Amari Cooper, NFC ($5,400)

Cooper is going to be my guy in this Pro Bowl slate. The trade to the Cowboys is the reason that Cooper is here, and the Cowboys coaching staff is going to be coaching this game. I am very interested in Cooper tomorrow, hitting the lock button and moving on. Plus, Cooper saw massive split against man-to-man coverage which he will likely see a bunch of on Sunday.

Eric Ebron, AFC ($3,800)

Ebron’s health is somewhat concerning, however, he’s now had a week off and this game means a lot to him. This will be the first time in the Pro Bowl for Andrew Luck and he will have DeShaun Watson, Patrick Mahomes and his own quarterback Andrew Luck throwing him the football. I love Ebron on this slate as I will likely be playing Kittle and Ebron on every single team on Sunday. Ebron was a monster in the red zone.

Best of luck, important to remember, have fun and remember this is the Pro Bowl, there is a bunch of variance and not a lot of information in terms of playing time.
