The Magic are unlikely to move Vucevic because they seem set on trying to make the postseason with the roster they have. With their 2018 first round pick Mo Bamba buried on the bench behind Vucevic, who is having a nice season for Orlando, if their season starts to slip away from them prior to the trade deadline, they could decide to call it quits yet again.

This would be Gortat’s second time in Orlando, but the 2021 first-round pick is the real prize. The NBA is considering allowing high school players to be eligible for the draft that season and the Magic would be happy to have two shots at a star player in that draft courtesy of the Clippers.

For the Clippers, this is a move that would help them make the playoffs. Vucevic would finally get a chance to shine in California and would be a starter on a team that would be one of the top seven teams in the West. His burgeoning outside game and skill inside would compliment their weird collection of talent as they try to have close out what has been a fun and wacky season.
