The North Carolina Tar Heels hope to keep pace in the ACC as they go on the road to face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Tuesday night.
It was just a couple of weeks ago that it seemed like the North Carolina Tar Heels might be stumbling. After a stunning blowout loss to Louisville, they struggled a bit against the likes of Notre Dame and Miami. However, they recovered with a dominant win over Virginia Tech. Now Roy Williams’ team would love to keep that rolling against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Tuesday.
This is going to be a test for this North Carolina team. Of late, freshman Nassir Little has started to see a bigger role and it’s starting to pay off. Joined by fellow first-year man Coby White and a litany of veteran players led by Cameron Johnson and Luke Maye, this team certainly has the talent to compete with anyone.
In this matchup with Georgia Tech, though, the Tar Heels will have be pushed by a highly underrated defense. Josh Pastnor’s team honestly struggles to score the ball, but they allow just over 63 points per game, one of the premier marks in college basketball this season.

How North Carolina fares against that defense will be the story of this game. On paper, they have everything it takes to get past them with flying colors, but an inconsistent team needs to go on the road and do their job.
