Tottenham take on Watford at Wembley Stadium on Jan 30. Here’s all the information you need to watch the Premier League match.

In the space of a week Tottenham have gone from competing in four competitions to two. Injuries to key players, including Harry Kane and Dele Alli, have coincided with defeats in the Carabao Cup to Chelsea (again), and the FA Cup to Crystal Palace. Tottenham’s season has gone from relative success to the verge of a disaster.

It’s safe to say that in the Champions League Borussia Dortmund will pose a very stern test for Tottenham. Regardless of the result there, it’s unlikely that this team will win the competition all out. That leaves the Premier League alone. Mauricio Pochettino’s recent comments stressed the importance of the Premier League top four over the cup competitions, and in many ways he’s correct. In a transitionary year for Tottenham it’s imperative they don’t lose sight of their long-term goal and the Premier League big guns. Finishing in the top four has to be their biggest priority before the start of the next season.

The lack of signings has been called into question time and time again, and with key players out injured and being sold (Mousa Dembele), Pochettino will have to galvanize his paper-thin squad into performing out of their skin for the rest of the season.

The debate may rage on forever about the success of Pochettino without trophies, but his and his team’s focus will only be on Watford. They know they can’t take this match lightly after losing the reverse fixture, and will be buoyed by the return of Heung-min Son.

Watford will be looking to build on yet another victory in the FA Cup and continue their push in the Premier League. They are in seventh place, and look the most likely team amongst those in midtable to snag that last Europa League place. Manager Javi Gracia needs to be given a lot of credit for the job being done, but the club deserves some as well for the manner in which it is run. They have a very deep squad, with quality players able to come in and out of the team. This has allowed them to remain competitive throughout the season, and will thus have them pose a real test for Tottenham.
