5. West Ham hold Liverpool to second straight draw

The final game of the “weekend” sees Liverpool travel south to face West Ham at the London Stadium. The Reds had a great chance to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points but could only manage a draw at home to Leicester in midweek.

Ultimately though, Jurgen Klopp’s side still extended their lead and are still looking good for their first title since 1990. They will look to get back on track in London against a West Ham side that have been particularly unpredictable this season.

The Hammers have shown in games that they can attack teams well and have had some good victories but overall they are not consistent enough. Provided he’s given the time, that’s something that Manuel Pellegrini will need to improve next season.

The London side have got some great players in their side but they don’t always turn up. However, one big victory for the Hammers is that they’ve managed to hold on to Marko Arnautovic who was almost heading to China for a mega-money move.

West Ham seem to get up for the big games and they will want to right their 4-0 loss to Liverpool on the opening day of the season. They also have the added motivation of derailing Liverpool’s title challenge which is something that the Reds will have to battle with if they are to win the title.

This should be a good game and on the wide open pitch at the London Stadium Liverpool will fancy their chances of stretching this match with their front line. West Ham will keep themselves in the match though and notch at least one goal themselves.

Salah will score for the Reds whilst Arnautovic will find the net for the Hammers with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
