Juventus face Parma at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 2. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Serie A title race is starting to look like it might be over. Juventus extended their lead over Napoli to 11 points last weekend. On Saturday, Juventus look to extend their unbeaten run in Serie A against Parma at the Allianz Stadium. Parma are in the middle of the table with 28 points. Despite being one of the smaller clubs in Serie A, Parma are only five points behind Sampdoria for the final Europa League spot.
Massimiliano Allegri’s team are unbeaten in Serie A, picking up 59 of 63 points. However, they were beaten 3-0 by Atalanta in the Coppa Italia. The loss was surprising and ended Juventus’ run of four straight Coppa Italia titles. Allegri will turn his focus to Serie A, as Juventus look to lock up the league title as soon as possible. Once Juventus have captured the title, they can turn all of their focus to the Champions League and the title that has eluded them for over 20 years. Cristiano Ronaldo has 15 goals in his debut Serie A season but has struggled to form a partnership with Paulo Dybala. Ronaldo has played much better Mario Mandzukic but the Croatian striker has been sidelined with an injury.
Parma were defeated 3-2 by SPAL in their last game. Roberto Inglese scored a brace against SPAL and leads the club with eight goals. Inglese and Gervinho have formed a strong partnership this season. Gervinho, the former Arsenal and Roma winger who spent the past two seasons playing in China, has returned to Serie A and scored six goals this season.
