Super Bowl Prediction And NCAA Basketball Best Bets – February 3rd
By John Fazio
Good day and greetings from your Super Bowl And NCAA basketball best bets to win host and value gambler. The big game is here so let’s get right to it.
As expected, the line has stayed at 2 1/2 with the bookmakers holding the line in the face of the majority of bets coming in on the Patriots. The Rams opened offshore as a 1 point favorite and was quickly gobbled up by New England bettors and catapulted to a 2 1/2 point favorite. There it has remained for the last 11 days.
To make it quick, I see it this way – The books need the Rams +2 1/2, and the sportsbooks first up with the line actually need the Rams to win the game. When a majority of individual bets come in at the rate we are seeing (about 67%) on a standalone game, the public is wrong about 58% of the time. The public likes New England.
Anyone betting New England -2 1/2 is giving away approximately 4% in value, assuming the original line of PK or Rams being favored is accurate. This accounts for the game ending New England winning by 1 or 2.
The value is on the Rams, and getting a +3 would be very good value. I will be on the Rams even though I too have the same thoughts Brady and company should prevail.
Super Bowl Prediction – Rams Plus 2 1/2, Looking For A Stray 3
Now on to our NCAA basketball best bets to win projections. Yesterday, Saturday, we went 12-9. Our overall record now stands at 49-33-1. Here are Sunday’s 2 selections, all times Eastern:
NCAA Basketball Best Bets To Win – IUPUI
Indiana-Purdue -1 versus Wright State, 1 pm
Iupui has put together a couple of good wins and covers in a row while Wright looked lackluster in losing on the road 53-67 two days ago as a favorite.
IUPUI has covered all 3 games in the series between these 2; with my number IUPUI by 3 and the other advantages listed above I think this home team can come through for us today.
Niagara -1 versus Quinnipiac, 2 pm
Here’s another case of a home team putting together 2 good wins and covers in a row while the road team lost straight up and ATS their last time out.
Niagara has won and covered the last 4 in the series, the last win coming at Quinnipiac in January as a 4 point underdog. I think Niagara will have enough to win this game.
