One of the bigger disappointment in the AFC this past season was the Pittsburgh Steelers, who failed to make the playoffs after getting out to a hot start to the season. Led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who led the NFL in passing yards, the Steelers saw their big lead in the AFC North disappear, as the Baltimore Ravens came away with the division title.

Outside of missing the playoffs, the Steelers also had to deal with some turmoil off the field, as star running back Le’Veon Bell never made his way to the team. Bell sat out the entire season, as the team turned to second-year running back James Conner, who ended up being one of the better running backs in the conference.

As they look towards 2019, the Steelers could also be without another one of their killer bees, as it looks like Antonio Brown’s run with the team is also over. Brown was benched for the teams Week 17 game after missing practice during the week, and it is clear that the organization has every intention to move on without him.

In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Steelers should look to add some talent along their defensive line, and Jeffery Simmons is a guy who certainly could help them immediately as a rookie. Simmons was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine due to some incidents in his past, but he should still hear his name called in the first round and would be a steal for the Steelers at No. 20 overall.
