Super Bowl LIII is in the books, but it’s never too early to start planning ahead for next year’s big game.
After watching the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots square off in Atlanta, the NFL will take the travelling road show otherwise known as the Super Bowl a bit further south. Super Bowl LIV will be held in Miami on February 2nd, 2020.
The venue for the contest will be Hard Rock Stadium, the home of the Miami Dolphins. This will be the 11th time that the Miami area has hosted a Super Bowl, with the last being Super Bowl XLIV in 2010, when the New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts to earn their first title.
Hard Rock Stadium was recently renovated by the Dolphins to make it a more modern venue. It will also be the sixth Super Bowl hosted at Hard Rock Stadium, the second most at one stadium in Super Bowl history.
The only stadium that has hosted more Super Bowls than Hard Rock Stadium is the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, which has hosted six to date. The big game is slated to return to the Big Easy in 2024 for Super Bowl LVIII.
Other upcoming Super Bowl sites include Tampa Bay’s’ Raymond James Stadium in 2021, the new stadium for the Rams and Chargers in Los Angeles in 2022, and Arizona’s State Farm Stadium in 2023.
As far as who will be playing in Miami a year from now, it’s not too early to place a wager down on who will hoist the Lombardi Trophy. SuperBookUSA’s Jeff Sherman recently tweeted out a list of early odds for who will win Super Bowl LIV.
