It would certainly be a major surprise if the Baltimore Ravens’ organization and new general manager Eric DeCosta would allow one of the best inside linebackers in the league to get away. Yes, stranger things have certainly happened but it would be shocking if C.J. Mosley was allowed to test the free agent market.

The 17th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft has been pretty sensational, leading the team in tackles three times (second on the club twice) while being named to the Pro Bowl on four occasions. In ’18, there were 105 stops, to go along with five passes defensed and one interceptions. In five seasons, the heady Mosley has picked off nine passes and recovered five fumbles.

Yes, DeCosta certainly has some decisions to make when it comes to his linebacking corps. Along with Mosley, there’s pass rushers Terrell Suggs and Za’Darius Smith. The former has 16 seasons under his belt and it’s hard to fathom that if the Ravens were to utilize the franchise tag, it would be on Mosley and not Suggs. In any case, defensive coordinator Don Martindale likely wouldn’t be unhappy if the club added a little experience depth to this department.

Adding Ramik Wilson, who has four seasons under his belt with the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams. He played in 16 games with the NFC champions this past season, totaling 31 stops and adding four more tackles on special teams. He could help the Ravens in numerous ways.
