Ranking the top 25 NFL free agents this offseason

22. Adrian Amos, S, Chicago Bears
It took some time for Adrian Amos to become more of a well-rounded player on the back end of the defense, but he’s developed nicely to this point. The nearly 26-year-old isn’t the catalyst to the Bears’ phenomenal defense, though, making it nearly a lock he hits the market.
Amos is a solid option because he can adequately fill run lanes and cover tight ends. Though not a threat to play the ball and force turnovers, he can bring stability to a secondary. The difference between a bad strong safety and one like Amos is worth the price.
Projected deal: Five years, $35 million
Best fits: New York Giants, Houston Texans, Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Francisco 49ers
