Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Tuesday night February 5th! Tonight we get out biggest slate since before the All Star game with 12 games on the slate, but this isn’t even the biggest this week !! Tonight there are some really big time marquee games like San Jose and Winnipeg, Tampa and Vegas, and Boston and the Islanders. There are always going to be some “duds” on large slates like tonight, some of those games include LA in New Jersey, and St Louis and Florida, but we could find some of our best value in games like this too.

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

7PM:

NY Islanders @ Boston

Minnesota @ Buffalo

St Louis @ Florida

Los Angeles @ New Jersey

Carolina @ Pittsburgh

Vancouver @ Washington

7:30PM:

Anaheim @ Montreal

Vegas @ Tampa Bay

8PM:

Arizona @ Nashville

San Jose @ Winnipeg

9PM:

Columbus @ Colorado

Chicago @ Edmonton

NHL DFS Goalies:

Tonight’s top goalie, is also the top priced goalie tonight, Carey Price ($8,300) in a matchup with Anaheim on the second night of a back-to-back.  Price is having a great bounce back season and is riding a personal 5 game winning streak coming into tonight’s matchup. During his win streak, Price has also only allowed 7 goals and is averaging 8.16 FPPG.

Matt Murray ($8,100) is my next pick in net against Carolina at home tonight. Murray already has a 39 save shutout against the Hurricanes this season and he will look to have a similar performance tonight.

Either goalie in the Florida/St Louis game is also in play tonight. James Reimer ($7,500) has won his previous 2 starts and is 5-1-2 in his last 10 games. Jordan Binnington ($7,600) is 3-1 in his last 4 games with 9 goals allowed but hasn’t made over 30 saves in any of the 4 games making Reimer my preferred option of the two.

Lastly if you are looking for a real cheap option Jack Campbell ($7,300) is in play against the Devils.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – JANUARY 17: Ryan Strome #16 of the New York Rangers skates against his brother Dylan Strome #17 of the Chicago Blackhawks during the first period at Madison Square Garden on January 17, 2019 in New York City. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Top Tier:

Connor McDavid ($7,800) – McDavid and the Oilers take on a Chicago team who is ranked 30th in goals allowed with 3.68 GA/GP and who has already a goal and assist against this season. Coming into tonight McDavid also has points in 10 of his last 11 games, totaling 8 goals and 7 assists.

Viktor Arvidsson ($7,300) – Arvidsson is a point per game player at home this season as well as averaging 4.8 FPPG in Nashville this season. In his last 4 games Arvidsson has 3 goals and has taken 19 SOG.

Mark Scheifele ($6,800) – Scheifele was a huge let down for anyone rostered him against the Ducks on Saturday night when he took a big fat zero in a game in which his team scored 9 goals. There is a chance some will be off him, and possibly Blake Wheeler as well, because of their performance in that game which could lead some low ownership numbers for tonight.

Mid Tier:

Vladimir Tarasenko ($6,200) – Tarasenko comes into tonight’s game with a 4 game point streak with 3 goals and 3 assists in that span as well 12 SOG. Because I am not 100% sold on how well Reimer has been playing if I do roster him I might hedge and play the Blues top line of Tarasenko,  Brayden Schenn, and Ryan O’Reilly

Anze Kopitar ($6,000) – After adding a goal last night against the Rangers, Kopitar has now extended his point streak to 4 games totaling 3 goals and 3 assists during his streak while taking 10 SOG in that span. Kopitar is averaging over 5 FPPG in his last 4 games as well while centering the Kings top line with Dustin Brown and Alex Iafallo.

Dylan Strome ($4,900) – Strome has 3 multi-point games in his last 4 games ( 2 goals 5 assists) while centering the Hawks second line. If you are looking for a low owned mini stack, Storme along with Alex DeBrincat make for my favorite duo tonight

Value Tier:

Marcus Johansson ($4,000) – It looks like Johansson has starting to be the guy the Devils they thought they were getting from Washington. Johansson comes into tonight’s game riding a 4 game streak with 2 goals and 3 assists. At his low price Johansson is a nice piece for a New Jersey top line stack with Kyle Palmieri and Nico Hischier.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi ($3,500) – Montreal’s 18-year-old rookie is finally turning into the player the they thought they were getting with goals in back to back games as well as 4 in his last 8 after just 4 in his first 45 NHL contests.

Josh Leivo ($3,200) – After arriving from Toronto via trade Leivo scored 5 points in his first 9 games for the Canucks but was scoreless for a while until his last 4 games where he added he added 1 goal and 2 assists. Leivo plays on the top line with Bo Horvat and Tim Schaller

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Pay Up –

Darnell Nurse ($5,700) – Nurse is a overally talented Dman, but has not lived up to his potential yet. He shows signs of brilliance and a game against a team like the Blackhawks is somewhere I feel comfortable using him

More from FanSided

Other options: Brent Burns ($5,700) , Shea Weber ($5,500)

Pay Down –

Erik Cernak ($3,200) – Cernak scored his first NHL goal on Saturday against the Rangers and has also been seeing a big pick up in his minutes to over 21 minutes per game in his last 2 games.

Other options: Dmitry Orlov ($3,200), Marcus Pettersson ($3,000)
