DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks February 7
We are back to another balanced one round week for our DraftKings EuroLeague tournaments this week. We have a lot of high prices on this slate, but there is some decent value to put a couple of them in your lineups. Which ones should we aim for?

We finally have a timetable for the return of Alexey Shved. He is practicing with Khimki, but isn’t slated to make his return until a domestic league game on Monday. Watch for something crazy, but it seems as though Shved will miss one more week.
The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!
For DraftKings EuroLeague, we can’t expect 5x value like in the NBA. Most winning lineups are around 180-200 DraftKings points, which is around 3.5 – 4x value.

DraftKings EuroLeague Guards:
Vasilije Micic easily has the best matchup on the slate. Gran Canaria hit triple digits last week with their team getting healthy, so this could be a high scoring game. This would also be the week to use Norris Cole while Shved is still out. Cole had solid numbers against CSKA last week, but still only played 20 minutes.
Nate Wolters is back to where his minutes were before his injury. He put up 34 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Barcelona. Actually, the whole middle tier of guard is loaded. Scottie Wilbekin, Thomas Heurtel, Krunoslav Simon, Nigel Williams-Goss, Vassilis Spanoulis, and Rodrigue Beaubois all have tantalizing matchups. The issue is that we can’t play all of them, so how do we weed this out?
I guess I would start with the Olympiacos duo of Spanoulis and NWG. Despite good matchups lately, they both split the value about evenly, and that makes neither one of them worth the price. I would honestly play Janis Strelnieks over either of them right now, or I would rather run Wilbekin back against them instead.
Wolters looks like the best play in this tier. I find myself leaning towards Simon on the cheaper side of this. Micic and Beaubois likely wont be pushed if this game blows out, so that should leave Simon with solid run in garbage time if it comes to that.
The strong play of Marius Grigonis continues. I would even say there is a chance he outscores every guard in the $8,000’s. He only played two minutes in the first matchup against Barcelona, so we really don’t have a lot to go on. I really like Kevin Pangos in this game if Barcelona starts him again. He picked up 24.75 DraftKings points last round against Olympiacos in the start.
Jeremy Pargo is still starting for Deandre Kane, but instead of him picking up the slack, it has mostly been Scottie Wilbekin. Yovel Zoosman was a bust last week, but the minutes are still there. He just hasn’t made a shot of any kind since January 17th. That’s right. Not even a free throw!
This could be a game where Shane Larkin gets some run. However, just like the NBA, it’s kind of foolish to build your lineup around an expected blowout. Pau Ribas has higher upside and is guaranteed minutes for around the same price.
The best value play may even be Clevin Hannah. He made his return last week, and scored a solid 18.25 DraftKings points last week. Thomas Walkup now has three straight games of double digit DraftKings points, and will only set you back $4,800.
DraftKings EuroLeague Forwards:
Jordan Mickey has one last round of big production before Shved returns, and he gets a pretty good matchup against Podgorica to go out on. I kind of think the ownership on Goga Bitadze is going to be down after a disastrous foul-plagued scoreless outing against CSKA last week. He should get back on track against Khimki today.

We may even be better off dropping down to Johnny O’Bryant here. JOB has four straight rounds of more than 20 DraftKings points. Brandon Davies does as well. The difference is that he is $400 cheaper
How do we fade Malcolm Thomas right now? Thomas has 79 DraftKings points over the last two rounds. He and Jordan Mickey are dominating the interior right now.
Angelo Caloiaro is capable of big games as he showed against Athens two weeks ago. He more likely will put up numbers like he did last week against Baskonia. 18 DraftKings points is solid, but it feels like we are mostly paying for potential here. Ante Tomic and Tony Crocker are safer options for around the same price. Their upside just isn’t quite as high.
Marcus Eriksson was a monster against Milan last week with 36.25 DraftKings points off the bench! I still don’t think he starts here, but there is really good potential if he is still hot.
You can mix and match the Gran Canaria frontcourt. The main four of them are priced within $400. My favorites are Xavier Rabaseda and Anzejs Pasecniks. Tibor Pleiss and Edgaras Ulanovas make very good value plays as well.
If for some reason you really need value here and don’t want to use the Zalgiris players, the Olympiacos front is the way to go. Axel Toupane and Janis Timma both look solid.
