The Undertaker deletes all mentions of WWE from his social media
WWE legend The Undertaker has erased every mention of WWE from his social media accounts, possibly indicating his departure.
File this one under the “Rumors” folder, but longtime WWE superstar The Undertaker may have just given speculation that he has wrapped up his illustrious career with the company. This week, he deleted all mentions of WWE from all of his social media accounts.
He joined Twitter back in November and recently dropped the WWE portion of his Twitter handle. Now any and all references to his longtime employer are gone and there is now an email address listed in the bio section that references where to send business inquiries and booking requests.
If this is the end of the road for The Undertaker, it quietly wraps up a career that spanned nearly three decades. He debuted at the 1990 WWE Survivor Series, as a surprise from the “Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase. Shortly after, DiBiase presented him to his new manager, Paul Bearer. It was the beginning of a relationship that carried until 1996 when Bearer turned on him at SummerSlam.
He did the same to his Instagram page, adding a business contact email and deleting all mentions of WWE from there as well. The difference being there is that he has more personal photos that include him away from the ring.
Now for the record, there is no official announcement regarding his future with the company. But if his sudden removal of the company from his timelines are any indication, then he could already be as good as gone. If that’s the case, knowing WrestleMania is right around the corner, this will be the first time since 2000 the man known as The Phenom will be absent from the annual extravaganza.
Keep in mind, WWE does have an event in Saudi Arabia scheduled for later this year. He would obviously be a huge draw for that card, but there’s no telling what could happen between now and then. There’s an entire year of ground to cover in the meantime. So let the rumors and speculation begin.
