When is National Signing Day 2020?
2019 National Signing Day has come and gone. Now begins the wait until 2020 National Signing Day.
As the sun sets on another National Signing Day, players around the country have found their new college homes. The unofficial start of the 2019 college football season is here. Today always gets the fans excited again just over a month removed from the national championship.
Now the question is: When is 2020 National Signing Day?
National Signing Day takes place on the first Wednesday in February. That means next years will be on Wednesday, Feb. 5. The advent of the early signing period, however, has become the major date for top recruits to sign their letters of intent. The early signing period begins on Dec. 18 and lasts for three days.
The 2020 recruiting cycle has been in full swing with offers being dealt left and right. Now coaches around the country can turn their attention to next year’s prospects.
Top recruits like defensive end Bryan Bresee and running back Zachary Evans headline next year’s list of the top-rated prospects in the country according to 247Sports. Where they will commit and sign with remains to be seen. The top-rated player who is already committed is Paris Johnson Jr. to Ohio State. He is a five-star offensive tackle who stands at an impressive six-foot-seven. The Buckeyes are getting a great gem in him.
This year’s top class went to Alabama. I know, surprising. What is also surprising? Alabama already has the top-rated class for 2020. Nick Saban already has ten commits. One is a five-star and seven are four-stars. LSU, Miami, Ohio State and Clemson round out the rest of the top five schools for next year.
National Signing Day always brings some surprises and this year was no exception. Who knows which recruits will flip at the last minute. However, the 2020 cycle is just getting started and there is a long way to go. One year from today, the nation will know where the top recruits for 2020 will end up.
