The Ohio State Buckeyes will be ushering in a new coaching era for 2019 and here are the guys that will fill out the depth chart for them.

The 2018 season was arguably one of the toughest in Ohio State football history despite where they ultimately ended up at the end of the year. Head coach Urban Meyer was under fire from the NCAA before the Buckeyes could look towards making another run at the College Football Playoff. Before fall camp could get in full swing, Meyer was placed on administrative leave due to allegations he was aware of domestic violence involving former receivers coach Zach Smith.

With offensive coordinator Ryan Day serving as active coach during Meyer’s leave, Ohio State still got off to a hot start at 3-0. Meyer returned and the team won four more in a row before being upset on the road by Purdue. The loss dropped them from No. 2 to No. 8 in the AP Poll and the Buckeyes never recovered to be in contention for the playoff.

After defeating Northwestern for the Big Ten title and earning a Rose Bowl berth, Meyer dropped another bombshell. He announced he would retire after the game, leaving Day to take over as head coach. The Buckeyes beat No. 9 Washington 28-23 to finish 13-1 and No. 3 in the last AP Poll.

The Buckeyes will look very different on both sides of the ball, but still, retain talent at the skill positions. Day will still have weapons to work with in his first full season. Now it is time to take a look at projecting the depth chart and starters on offense, defense and special teams for Ohio State in 2019.
