DraftKings NBA Early Picks February 10: Is Doncic worth the price?
We have a split Sunday for our DraftKings NBA picks. There are only five games today. Two are in the afternoon and three are in the evening. It makes the slate that much harder to pick with not many options out there. We will concentrate on the early games here.

I attacked the $1 20 max last night with pretty good success. I placed 8 of my 12 lineups above the cash line of 280.5 DraftKings points. One of them got all the way up to 19th. Nwaba torpedoed two of my other 300+ lineups.
bdole12 took it down with 354 DraftKings points. He built with George and Chris Paul. The chalky but massive value of Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker paid off. Jeremy Lamb and Kris Dunn were also huge!

DraftKings NBA Guard Picks:
Luka Doncic has 84.5 DraftKings points in the two games against Portland so far. That isn’t going to hit value, and honestly, I’m not a huge fan of him against Portland. The usage for Doncic is still high, but that doesn’t automatically mean production. Damian Lillard honestly looks better to me here. He has 107 DraftKings points in the two games against Dallas.
I have no interest in any Philly players in the backcourt. I get the allure with Jimmy Butler since the Lakers can’t guard guards, but the blowout potential makes me nervous.
I want all of C.J. McCollum here. CJ has three straight games of more than 30 actual points. Dallas may slow him down some, but not enough to make me ignore him at this price.
J.J. Redick was a monster on Friday. While I don’t necessarily think that’s going to be an ongoing occurrence, Redick is certainly worth a look as a value play.
DraftKings finally raised the price on Tim Hardaway Jr, but why? THJ only has 59.25 DraftKings points in three games with the Mavericks. The minutes are there, but the production is not yet.
There isn’t much at the bottom of the barrel here. KCP is a decent dart throw, but if I’m slumming at guard, it’s going to be with Rodney Hood. Hood had a nice Portland debut and seems to fit well with this team. Hood is going to be my favorite punt today.
Forwards:
When exactly are the Lakers going to limit LeBron James‘ workload? It could come at any time. If Philly gets up, James is going down. Even if Joel Embiid plays limited minutes, I want him as my core this afternoon. Embiid put up 52.25 DraftKings points in just 30 minutes in the first meeting with the Lakers. Why wouldn’t that happen again?

Tobias Harris looked solid in his first game as a Sixer, but his price is still a little too high here. However, with this game reeking of a blowout, it’s hard to trust anyone from here.
The price is low enough to tempt us on Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram. I much prefer Kuzma if I’m taking the chance here though. There is far more upside here than with any other Laker besides maybe JaVale McGee.
Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber have seen nice upticks in minutes, but not in price. This is a tougher matchup against the Portland front, but I think I’m playing Powell anyway. He is simply way too cheap.
Dorian Finney-Smith is definitely one to watch. Small forwards against Portland, people. It’s a thing.
James Ennis is a decent value play here, but I more have my eye on Mike Muscala, who is playing the team that traded him to the team that dealt him to the Lakers. Is revenge a thing here? Let me put it this way: how would you like to be traded from a playoff bound team to one of the league’s worst soap operas?
