DraftKings NBA Main Picks February 10: Ride Vucevic to cash.
We have a split Sunday for our DraftKings NBA picks. There are only five games today. Two are in the afternoon and three are in the evening. It makes the slate that much harder to pick with not many options out there. We will concentrate on the three games that finish off the night here.

I attacked the $1 20 max last night with pretty good success. I placed 8 of my 12 lineups above the cash line of 280.5 DraftKings points. One of them got all the way up to 19th. Nwaba torpedoed two of my other 300+ lineups.
bdole12 took it down with 354 DraftKings points. He built with George and Chris Paul. The chalky but massive value of Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker paid off. Jeremy Lamb and Kris Dunn were also huge!

DraftKings NBA Guard Picks:
There is a lot of uncertainty at the top of the guard pool. Miami’s defense is solid, so I don’t really want to pay that much for Curry in a pace down game. Devin Booker is worth a look if he plays, but if he’s not playing the point, Sacramento is plenty good enough to hold Booker at less than 100% under value.
De’Aaron Fox has by far the best matchup, but he is just 8-25 from the floor over the past two games and hasn’t exactly lit up the Suns anyway. I would much rather take my shot against the struggling Magic backcourt defense. Young had 31.75 DraftKings points in just 29 minutes in the first meeting.
Buddy Hield has been average against the Suns this year, but he has eight straight games of 30 or more DraftKings points. I would have never thought this possible from Hield last year. It’s worth riding the wave to see where it takes you.
Miami’s weakest defensive position is shooting guard, and Klay Thompson has back to back game of more than 44 DraftKings points. Curry can’t say that. Neither can Durant. Why pay top dollar when Klay is getting you what you want for a whole lot less?
Kelly Oubre wrecked the Kings for 45 DraftKings points in the first meeting. He is also fresh off a game where he just torched the Warriors. If Booker is out again. Oubre will be in every lineup. I could even consider him anyway at this price.
Terrence Ross held his own with 25 DraftKings points against the Bucks last night, and that was not a good matchup. As far as matchups go, it doesn’t get any better than Atlanta. Ross put up 38.5 on them the first time around. I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t do it again. Evan Fournier also torched the Hawks for 43.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting. They are both way too cheap here.
I do like Mikal Bridges if Booker remains out. Otherwise, I think Oubre gets most of the minutes, and rightfully so. That would leave us scavenging for value and staring down one of my favorite value plays: Andre Iguodala.
Elie Okobo has a great matchup and Tyler Johnson has been a bust so far. Keep an eye on the starting lineup here, but whoever starts for the Suns in worth a look in our lineups.
Forwards:
Nikola Vucevic is easily the best play on this slate. I expect ownership to be at least 75%. He put up 55.5 DraftKings points on Atlanta in the first meeting. If this game stays close again, he’s probably the only player hitting 50.

I could see playing Kevin Durant here, but I think the odds of him hitting value are slim. Same for John Collins. I like both of them, but the matchups just aren’t very good. There are much better values further down.
Hassan Whiteside has been a beast lately with 108.5 DraftKings points over the last two games. This is not a great spot against the Warriors, but it’s good enough at his price. I’m either taking Whiteside or running it back with 25 minutes of Boogie.
I could see Deandre Ayton flying under the radar a little here. Boogie and Whiteside are trendy and Vuce is the smash, but Ayton’s matchup is every bit as good. I’m using both Vucevic and Ayton.
I really like this spot for Aaron Gordon, but I can’t stand playing his inconsistent ass. If you can, more power to you. I’ll use Jonathan Isaac instead.
Josh Jackson is a must play again with T.J. Warren still out. If you aren’t using Jackson by now, you’re doing it wrong.
I wish the minutes on Willie Cauley-Stein were guaranteed. He has 65.75 DraftKings points in the first two meetings with Phoenix. He is a strong value play here, but that also means you have to give up either Ayton or Vucevic and I’m not sure that I’m willing to do that.
Value is really hard to come by up front. Kelly Olynyk is probably the most consistent pick, but I don’t know that any of them are safe right now. If you want the best upside though, I think you have to go with James Johnson.
