NHL DFS Man Advantage Monday February 11th
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night February 11th! Tonight is a small 3 game slate with one of the biggest rivalries in hockey take the main stage, as well as two seemingly lopsided games. While this slate has some quality goaltending options, one stands about of the rest because of the matchup and I am pretty sure you can guess who he is by looking at the picture above.
Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:
7PM:
Pittsburgh @ Philadelphia
Los Angeles @ Washington
10PM:
San Jose @ Vancouver
NHL DFS Goalies:
My top goalie selection, and probably the clear chalk goalie of the night, is Braden Holtby ($8,300). Holtby hasn’t been great of late but his numbers at home are substantially better than on the road. In 25 home starts Holtby is 12-8-3 with a 2.86 GAA and a .912 SV%.
Martin Jones ($8,000) on the road in Vancouver is my second option for the night. In his last 10 starts Jones is 8-2 with a 2.94 GAA and a .902 SV%. Jones has been even better in his last 3 starts with a 2.00 GAA and a .937 SV%.
There is a chance Carter Hart ($7,700) gets the win against the slumping Penguins. Pittsburgh may have lost 4 straight, but scoring isn’t an issue for them. On the season Pittsburgh is 6th in GF/G with a 3.42 average.
NHL DFS Top Forwards:
Alex Ovechkin ($7,400) – Ovie isn’t having the best season of his career but he has been productive of late. Ovechkin is on a 3 game point streak with 4 assists and is averaging 4.8 FPPG.
Evander Kane ($7,100) – Kane comes into tonight with back to back multi point games, 3 goals and 2 assists, and is averaging 9.5 fantasy points in those 2 games. Along with his back to back multi point games Kane has also play much better this season on the road with twice as man goals than at home (16), and 28 points as opposed to 19 at home.
Elias Pettersson ($6,100) – Pettersson returned from injury back on January 20th and has been on fire ever since. In 7 games since his return Pettersson ha 3 goals and 5 assists.
Anze Kopitar ($5,400) – Kopitar comes in with points in 6 of his last 7 games with 4 goals and 5 assists and averaging well over 20 minutes of ice time per game. Kopitar centers the Kings top line with Alex Iafallo and Dustin Brown, which is a pretty decent stack if you go away from Holtby
Oskar Lindblom ($3,500) – Lindblom plays wing on the Flyers top line now with Sean Couturier and Jakub Voracek as well as on the teams 2nd PP unit with Couturier. In his last 10 games Lindblom has 4 goals and 3 assists and is seeing 3 minutes more than his season average.
NHL DFS Top Defensemen:
Pay up Dman:
Kris Letang ($5,500) – Letang has a goal and 5 assists in his last 6 games and is averaging 4.9 FPPG during that span.
