A new report suggests that All Elite Wrestling has many more big things to come in 2019.

If a new report is to be believed, All Elite Wrestling, the newest and arguably hottest promotion on the professional wrestling scene, is coming out swinging in 2019 with a number of big-time events.

AEW, which was officially launched on January 1, has already announced (and sold out) its first big pay-per-view extravaganza, Double or Nothing, which takes place on Saturday, May 25 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, an event that will be headlined by the highly-anticipated rematch between Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. However, beyond that, not much else outside of an unnamed show in Jacksonville this summer was known.

However, a new report from WrestleTalk, who claims to have a source very close to All Elite Wrestling, states that big things are coming down the pipeline for the remainder of 2019 and beyond.

Following Double or Nothing in May, the planned schedule for AEW includes another U.S. show in June, the aforementioned Jacksonville show in July as well as the All Elite UK debut at Royal London Hall (which happens to be the same venue where the NXT UK brand kicked off last year) in August. They’ll follow up in September with All Out, which speaks to last year’s All In event, the catalyst to get AEW rolling. This should also be a major event this time around, as it’s supposedly the lead-in to a weekly television spot that will begin in October.

With WWE SmackDown Live moving to Fridays this fall when it makes the move from USA to FOX, Tuesday nights will be wide open and All Elite would be wise to jump on that night. This same report mentions that AEW has had two major television offers for the product, one coming from none other than TNT — yes, the same TNT that aired WCW Monday Nitro when the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW were in full swing. Sure, the head-to-head thing likely won’t be happening like it did then (ask TNA/Impact how that worked out a few years back), but it still makes things interesting.

Like most things, pro wrestling has always been better when there’s competition. Each promotion has to be on top of their games each and every week and each and every pay-per-view to ensure that they’re putting out a better product than the other guys. The addition of All Elite Wrestling to a scene that is no longer WWE’s sole domain, given the work of great promotions like Ring of Honor, New Japan and others, is only going to help this unique form of entertainment. Perhaps the only problem with this particular report is that from May until TV gets rolling in October, wrestling fans will only get All Elite Wrestling once a month.

Stay tuned.
