The Alabama Crimson Tide have made a habit of playing in the National Championship Game, but what will their team making a run look like in 2019?

The Alabama Crimson Tide have played in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game in each of the last four years. However, there have been varying results in the title game for Nick Saban’s team with two wins among those four appearances. However, their latest installment in this run, another meeting with the Clemson Tigers, turned out to be their worst effort yet.

After keeping things close against Trevor Lawrence and Clemson early on, Alabama ceased being able to match what their opponents were throwing at them and ultimately were run off the field in a lopsided loss. This was a team that looked unbeatable many times throughout the 2018 regular season, but they seemed as if they didn’t belong on the biggest stage.

Coming off of that loss, there are still high hopes for the Crimson Tide looking ahead to the 2019 season. Yes, they are going to be losing some top-tier talent, but this is Alabama we’re talking about. Even when they lose key contributors, the recruiting wheel keeps on turning and they have another batch of 4- and 5-star players coming behind them to replace them.

For 2019, though, that’s more prescient for the defense than it is the offense, the latter being a group that will return the core of playmakers that made the Crimson Tide look like a juggernaut for much of this past season. The hope with that being the case is that the offense can hit the ground running in 2019 as inexperienced defenders find their footing in college football.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this Alabama team rebounds from their loss in the title game. But before we get there, let’s take a look at every unit on the Crimson Tide roster and break down the early depth chart for Saban’s team in 2019.
