3. Jacksonville Jaguars

If there was ever a team that was a quarterback away from relevance, it would be the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have a loaded defensive unit, a talented offensive line, and a brilliant running game led by Leonard Fournette.

The big issue was that Blake Bortles took a huge step back in 2018, failing to build on a solid 2017 season and losing his job to the immortal Cody Kessler in the process. Jacksonville is expected to move on from Bortles soon, and Jaguars’ front office czar Tom Coughlin likely won’t want to go through the growing pains a rookie like Dwayne Haskins would experience.

The Jaguars need a stable veteran to help manage the offense and operate off of play action without putting the defense in bad positions with a ton of turnovers. That sounds an awful lot like Case Keenum, who played a similar function in Minnesota during the Vikings’ successful 2017 campaign.

Jacksonville has already been mentioned as a potential destination for Nick Foles this year, but if the Eagles tag Foles it could put the price range out of their reach in terms of draft picks. Keenum would be a solid alternative for Jacksonville to try and get back to the playoffs in 2019.
