Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Wednesday February 13th! Tonight might be the single worst slate in NHL DFS history. It’s so bad that I almost closed my computer and went straight to bed after looking over these 2 games, but I didn’t and I pushed through and wrote this article for all of you! With such a small slate there are very limited choices and you will have to find that 1 or 2 players different then the rest of the field to take down a GPP and hopefully I will help you find them with this article today.Ā

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

8PM:

Edmonton @ Pittsburgh

10:30PM:

Vancouver @ Anaheim

NHL DFS Goalie:

My top goalies choice, and really the only goalie I am interested in, isĀ Matt MurrayĀ ($8,300) at home against Edmonton tonight. I have zero interest in the other 3 goalies tonight. Murray is coming off a 50 save win over the Flyers on Monday night and has a win over this Edmonton team earlier this season in a game where he made 41 saves and earned 6.2 fantasy points even though he allowed 5 goals.

IfĀ Jacob MarkstromĀ ($7,600) starts in Anaheim tonight he could be seen as an option, but it is still unknown at this time if he will be healthy enough to start. If he isn’t we are looking at a game betweenĀ Michael DiPietroĀ ($7,400) andĀ Chad JohnsonĀ ($7,600) which seems like a great game to stack offensively but not a good game to use a goalie from.

NHL DFSĀ  Top Forwards:

Sidney CrosbyĀ ($7,600) – Crosby will look to prove thatĀ Connor McDavidĀ ($7,400) still has some work to do to be considered the best player in the league. In his last 2 games Crosby has 1 goal and 3 assists and is averaging 7 FPPG. Crosby also netted two goals back in November against this Oilers team.

Elias PetterssonĀ ($6,600) – Pettersson comes into tonight with a 4 game point streak with 2 goals and 3 assists. Along with his linemates,Ā Brock BoeserĀ andĀ Josh LeivoĀ they make for my second favorite stack of the night (Pittsburgh 1 is my top stack).

Ryan GetzlafĀ ($5,300) – Getzlaf is definitely on the down side of his career, and his stats show it, but he is viable on a slate like this. The Ducks captain does have a goal and 2 assists in his last 3 games as well as averaging just under 4 FPPG.

Jared McCannĀ ($4,100) – McCann has picked up two goals since being traded to the Penguins in early February. With the news that Malkin will be suspended for tonight’s game it is likely thatĀ Tanner PearsonĀ ($3,100) will move up to play with the Pens second line, so it is most likely thatĀ Patric HonrqvistĀ will join McCann andĀ Domink SimonĀ on the Pens 3rd line tonight making them an interesting GPP stack.

Zack MacEwanĀ ($4,000) – This is play is purely a slate play, on a normal size slate I wouldn’t mention MacEwan, but he is on the Canucks top line and may be worth some consideration. In his first career game, a 7-2 loss to the Sharks Monday, MacEwan picked up his first career point, an assist, and will probably still get some first line minutes.

Devin ShoreĀ ($2,800) – I am really digging deep here, but I think Shore has a chance at picking up some points in a possibly high scoring affair. Shore does only have 1 assist in his last 3 but does play about 15 minutes per game, and is centering the teams 2nd PP unit.

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – FEBRUARY 11: Kris Letang #58 of the Pittsburgh Penguins skates against the Philadelphia Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center on February 11, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Pay Up Dman:

Kris LetangĀ ($6,000) – Letang is pretty much the only real option to pay up for on Wednesday. Letang does have a goal and 4 assists in his last 5 games and is averaging 4.7 FPPG in that span.

More from FanSided

Other options: Darnell NurseĀ ($5,600)

Pay Down Dman:

Chris TanevĀ ($3,500) – Tanev has 2 assists in the Canucks last 3 games and is averaging just over 3 FPPG in that span. There isn’t much to love on the point tonight, but if you are stacking Canucks, Tanev is one of the better options.

Other options: Jack Johnson ($2,800), Michael Del ZottoĀ ($2,600)

NHL DFS Line Stacks:

Pittsburgh 1

Vancouver 2 and PP 2

Anaheim 3

Edmonton 1 – This line is the only Oilers I would consider.
