Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship

Daniel Bryan (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Kofi Kingston

Given the lineup of this Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship, this has a chance to be really, really good. It is unfortunate that Mustafa Ali had to be taken out of the match due to injury but after watching Kofi Kingston’s incredible performance in the gauntlet match this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live, I think they went with the correct replacement. Who knows if that ends up sticking anyway as I could see Big E getting thrown in there at the last minute because Kingston is “injured” from the beatings he took.

As for the other competitors to Daniel Bryan’s — I’m sorry, the “New” — Daniel Bryan’s WWE Championship (that belt is hysterical), you know there’s some sort of crazy Jeff Hardy spot coming, AJ Styles is just Styles and Samoa Joe in the Elimination Chamber and all the physicality that goes with it has to be good. Then there’s Randy Orton, who will enter the match last due to his win in the gauntlet match as the show went off the air on Tuesday night. He’s been here before, and when he feels like putting in the effort is still one of the best in the game. I’m not sure if this match closes the night or not with the Women’s Tag Team Championship being re-introduced but this should be the match of the night.

Prediction: It’s hard to see anyone but Bryan walking into WrestleMania as the WWE Champion. After all, they just made a new belt for him so they should give him at least a couple of months to carry it around. The fun story would be Kingston winning his first-ever world title but we know that’s not happening, nor is a Hardy win. Styles will be the champion again at some point but not on this night and I think a feud with Orton could be in the works for WrestleMania. That leaves Joe, who is the wild card in all of this. I don’t think he wins here but I do think this match sets him up for a one-on-one match with Daniel Bryan at ‘Mania. But the call here is Daniel Bryan retaining, probably with some assistance from (don’t call me Erick) Rowan and/or some other surprise return.
