The two best teams in the Southeastern Conference are squaring off today as the Kentucky Wildcats host the Tennessee Vols this evening.
The top ranked Tennessee Volunteers have not lost a game since they faced the Kansas Jayhawks back on Nov. 24. The Vols are currently 23-1 and literally have not been defeated in months. The 5th ranked Kentucky Wildcats are hoping to snap Tennessee’s 19-game winning streak this evening.
Luckily for the No. 5 Wildcats, this game will be played in their arena and potentially on their terms. But, if Kentucky is going to find a way to defeat the No. 1 Vols, it’ll have to perform better than it did against the LSU Tigers earlier this week. And, well, it’s important to note that UK’s game against LSU was in Lexington just like this game will be.
So, when Tennessee walks into Rupp Arena this evening, the Vols will certainly know that the Wildcats are vulnerable at home. And given how good Tennessee is this year, the Vols should be more than confident in their ability to come out on top of this contest.

This will be the first game between the two top teams in the SEC and this game will almost certainly go a long way towards deciding who will come out on top of the conference this season. Kentucky has a solid advantage in this game being played in Lexington, but that likely won’t stop Tennessee from appearing to be a dominant force as it has for most of the season.
The Vols are the top ranked team in the country for a very good reason and they won’t be intimidated by the crowd in Rupp Arena. This game should be a thrilling and captivating one.
